Osteopathic treatments

To make a diagnosis your osteopath will take details of your medical history, which will include past illnesses and present health.

You will then be examined (for the purposes of which it may be necessary to remove some items of clothing).

If appropriate, and with your consent, treatment may commence and the further management of your case will be discussed.

Osteopathic treatment is, by definition, manual. Techniques include specialised muscle and joint stretching movements, very specific manipulation of joints, and gentle balancing techniques. Treatment is usually a pleasant experience, being rhythmic and soothing, and patients often feel drowsy afterwards.

Fees and Cancellation

The fee is payable on the day of your appointment. If you intend to claim on medical insurance it is your responsibility to ensure that you are properly covered, and that the terms of your insurers have been met.

Missed appointments and late cancellations are chargeable; please do phone at least 24 hours in advance if you are unable to attend. Please allow 48 hours for the cancellation of appointments with Stuart Korth.
